7 - THE INTERVIEW - 2014

7 – The Interview (2014) | ★★★★

Director:  Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen; Screenwriter: Seth Rogen

Plot:  Dave Skylark (James Franco), host of a celebrity talk show, landed a very unexpected interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un (Randall Park). In a more bizarre turn of events, CIA Agent Lacey (Lizzy Caplan) saw this as an opportunity to recruit both Skylark and his producer Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) to get close and execute assassination of the elusive infamous dictator.

From the get-go, I completely laughed my ass off. I can’t get enough of Dave Skylark’s interviews. He can’t stop being narcissistic, and it suits Franco really well. I could totally see this becoming a franchise, though I’m not sure James Franco and Seth Rogen like the idea of franchises.

“They hate us because they ain’t us!”
