3 – Take Shelter | ★★★★

Director:  Jeff Nichols; Screenwriter: Jeff Nichols

Plot:  A young husband and father starts to fixate on building a storm shelter. His erratic behavior began to shook his family, his work, his social ties, and later found himself questioning to trust his very self.

<SPOILERS> The story builds nicely. The dread crept up to a certain high point when Curtis  broke down in front of everybody. The subtlety of the movie makes your mind analyze all that’s presented. Some interesting scenes beckon the viewers to examine thoroughly the next steps of Curtis. Even at the end, one cannot fully judge whether Curtis spiraled down into madness or he had been prophetic all that time. Judgment is left fully on the viewers.

“You’ve got a good life, Curtis. I think that’s the best compliment you can give a man; take a look at his life and say, ‘That’s good'”

–  Kyle
