61 – Step Up Revolution (2012)

My Rating: 5/10

Synopsis: “The Mob” dance crew sketches a pack of elaborate routines in Miami in an attempt to win an online contest, Performance art soon had to become protest art as the neighborhood where The Mob performs is threatened by a company with an intent to displace its current inhabitants.

Generic and formulaic fourth installment in the Step Up franchise. Some moments of flash mob brilliance.  Poor in everything else.

Runtime: 1hr 39 (IMDb)

SO MANY FACTORS SHOULD BE ACCOUNTED FOR IN REPORTING GROSSES IN BOX OFFICE LIKE IF IT’S A WIDE RELEASE OR ONLY FOR A LIMITED RUN, MERE SHOWING OF NUMBERS DOES NOT DETAIL ANYTHING. IN FACT, IT MAY OBSCURE ONE’S VIEW OF THE FILM. IT’S BECAUSE NOT ALL ARE CREATED TO FUNCTION AS CASH COW FRANCHISES, SOME ARE DONE FOR ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND OTHER PURPOSES. SO NO PRODUCTION BUDGET AND GROSSES REPORT WILL BE FEATURED HERE
